“Dear Sir,
A few months ago I placed my first order with you and built my very first guitar. Ovangkol back and sides with sitka top.
I have been a craftsman for a number of years, rebuilding antique pianos, including making new soundboards and bridges, and decided to try my hand at guitars after buying a Taylor 814ce.
The results of my first attempt were surprising, to me and to others. Since I'm a bit "old-school" I built it entirey by hand, no table saw, router, joiner etc. (I did use a driss press!). I have already received requests for custom made guitars, and from a store interested in selling them.
It really helped to find quality supplies, all in one place, so I could start this experiment - which may just turn out to be my next and final career.
Many Thanks.
ps. I have just placed a second order so I can start making a few more......”

Tor-Tis™ Pickguards

Tor-tis™ shapes (L-R): small teardrop OM, mid-size teardrop/small MartinD, J-185, J-200, D-28, and D45

Tor-tis™ is a great pick-guard product designed to match the original tortoise-style pick-guards of the '30s and '40s, but with many more advantages. Impact and scratch resistant, it will not shrink or crack. The precast pickguards polish out nicely with a radiused edge so that they appear to have been "finished in." Highly refractive, chemically inert (untouched by all solvents), with the Tor-tis™ resins backed by twenty-five years of industrial use, any tortoise would be proud to sport Tor-tis™ as its carapace.

Our Tor-Tis™ pickguards are shown individually, so you can pick the exact patterning you are looking for.

 A customer on Tor-Tis™ pickguards:

"I recently bought one of the Tor-tis D-45 dark pickguards as a replacement on my 1967 Gibson Heritage guitar. The pattern and coloring of the pickguard was outstanding! The quality of the material was very evident upon opening the package. It really added a classy look to my guitar. I would highly recommend one of these for a replacement or a new installation. They are definitely worth the price".
