Wood binding serves to protect the corners of the instrument as well as seal the end grain of the soundboard and back. Many of our bindings have matching backstrips.
The figure on sycamore, particularly such a small piece is difficult to show in a photo. We can rarely get binding with better figure than moderate but if we have it, it will be available on our website.
Sycamore is nearly indistinguishable from Maple.
