Fiber purflings have been in favor for many years now because they create brighter looking trim lines than regular wood. Fiber is a cellulose product that finishes well and is flexible, so there is no need to use heat for bending and no danger of it cracking or splitting while you are working with it. If you need to remove material, use a scraper. We do not recommend using fiber veneer for binding, as it doesn't sand well.
