B/S African Ebony, dreadnought
Most Ebony from West Africa is produced by Taylor's Crelicam operation in Cameroon as they are the only operation there providing crystal clear legal paperwork.
Ebony's density and surface integrity make it ideal for robust and responsive tonality. You can count on our decades of tonewood expertise in preparing the wood for you. We have slowly dried the woods to perfection with the aim of utmost stability and integrity. All dense woods have a natural brittleness, so care needs to be taken when working with it. Let us bend the sides for you if you want to avoid a mishap! Still, it's workability is better than a number of well-loved tonewoods we sell, so do not be deterred. The dark coloration makes repairs simple and invisible, should the need arise.
