Recently our cocobolo has come in in varied colors and tones. In order to give you a more accurate representation of the colors we have available, we have broken them into 3 different groups:
- Traditional - the colors you are accustomed to seeing from LMI - typically alternating lines of orange and black
- Two-toned - there are two relatively distinct bands of color on these
- Dark - Not the orange/yellow you are accustomed to seeing, but a much darker color reminiscent of Panama Rosewood
Product Description
Cocobolo bridge blanks require more care than other woods when gluing to a top, but they're worth the effort. Cocobolo offers rich colors, it is exceptionally sonorous and is denser than Indian Rosewood. Be sure to wipe the surface with acetone, wait until the acetone gasses off and then glue right away before more oils reach the surface.
