Bloodwood bridge blank, 1st grade, classical
Unlike other red hued woods, bloodwood is not very photosensitive, so it tends to retain its reddish color over time. For this reason, it is often used as decorative binding and inlay by luthiers and furniture makers alike. It is remarkably dense so it is well suited for fingerboards, bridge blanks and backs and sides.
Each bridge blank is different from the next. We are showing you a representation of the wood species, but your bridge blank might look very different from the representative photo.
