Shop Services - Customizations
Luthiers Mercantile International offers a full menu of shop services for the beginning and professional luthier. We employ traditional jigs and fixtures and CNC machining along with handwork from our experienced staff or woodworkers and luthiers. We offer pre-slotted fingerboards and custom slotted fingerboards that can be slotted to any scale length along with a complete offering of popular radii. For soundboards we offer joining, sanding and rosette inlay with dozens of rosette designs to choose from. For back and sides we offer sanding, joining, and guitar side bending. We can bend sides to dreadnought, OM, 000, parlor, Gibson jumbo, and classical shapes. This work can be added as customizations directly to the product (i.e. fingerboard or soundboard) page when you are placing your order. In addition, we sell pre-carved necks and bridges in a wide variety of options. The bridges are in many cases perfectly suited to a variety of guitar repair situations, especially for vintage guitar.
