This chisel, designed by Richard Schneider, can be used to remove glue squeeze-out from the sides of bracing. This precisely curved blade, measuring 1/2" x 6 3/4" long, has a specially ground beveled tip which simplifies this otherwise difficult and time consuming task. The chisel can also be used for carving or scalloping braces. It has a high quality blade made by Ron Hock, and a Maple handle.
Bernd Kraus wrote this about our chisel: "One of the first tools I bought from you was the glue-clearing chisel... today it is still the most used tool in my shop. And not just for cleaning glue. It is the only tool that doesn’t get put away when cleaning up my workbench. It is always out and I use it often. The tool holds an edge a long time and usually only needs a little honing to keep it super sharp...what a pleasure to use. I can’t imagine any woodworking shop not having one."
