Testimonials

Just wanted to say that the quality of all the products LMI has sent me is awesome!

I was shocked at the outstanding quality of the wood sent with my kit. All the wood in my kit is stunning! I can't wait to work on this project.  The quality of the services is top notch and the tools I bought from LMI are top grade.

I am glad LMI sets a high standard in quality all around. I look forward to this project and many more knowing that a place like LMI exists with these standards.

I work in a manufacturing environment so I know the work it takes to keep such a high standard. I know LMI couldn't do it without having good people doing the daily grind. Please let your co-workers and shop staff know that I said thanks for the work they do.

I hope LMI continues this tradition of high quality, it can be hard to find a place that values a high standard.

Great job
and thanks!
Dustin

Tuning Machines

TUNERSSchenkGUITAR500
Tuners on a Schenk guitar
LMI offers a broad selection of tuning machines
for steel string and classical guitars, as well as several for bass guitars, mandolins and banjos. The majority of these tuners are from the Schaller®and Gotoh® (Pronounced “Go-Toe”) product lines with additional hand made classical tuners from Alessi, bass guitar tuners from Hipshot™, and Grover economy machines.

GOTOH® Tuning Machines
Gotoh machines are head-to-head quality competitors with the longer established Schaller machines. Over the years, many major hand makers and factories have come to prefer them over the Schaller tuners. They are more competitively priced than the Schallers™, and this may be the deciding factor for some. The selection of classical tuners available from Gotoh is certainly broader in both quality/cost and variety, providing economy models to models used on some of the finest guitars in the world. We carry their popular 'contour' line (510) tuners, and their new line of open back tuners with brass gear wheels (made especially for LMI) are sure to please those who prefer a vintage-style tuner.

SCHALLER® Tuning Machines
Schaller is one of the first manufacturers to use a cast, sealed, and lubricated gear housing, and their machine has been copied by many. With removable and replaceable buttons, tension adjustable by tightening the knobs, and threaded hexhead bushings, Schallers are still one of the better values in a tuner.

When you change tuners, be sure your new choice is appropriate for the neck you are using!
