Testimonials

“I recently purchased a beautiful fingerboard from you and now I am thinking of grabbing fretwire from you as well. Unfortunately I'm cheap and lazy and find myself here asking if it is possible to pay more to have your fretwire radiused before it is sent? You guys would be the coolest ever. No matter what the outcome, I will be sending more business your way from here in Maine. Hoping for good news! Thank you!"

Koa

BSKoaBradDavis600Acacia Koa

Hawaiian Koa is easily one of the most sought after tonewoods available, with colors ranging from brown to gold with rich and varying grain. It is also becoming a rare commodity. As a result, you will see some minor defects in the pattern area that we now consider acceptable due to it's scarcity.

Koa looks as exotic as the region it's from. With an open pore structure like Mahogany, it needs to be filled, but works well in all respects with the usual care taken for curly figure.

PLEASE NOTE:
Due to the scarcity of good material, Koa is undeniably expensive. If you are looking for something less expensive, consider the Black Acacia. It is a very close cousin of Koa. Possessing all of Koa's most desirable traits, it is nearly indistinguishable!

Because these sets are one-of-a-kind, they cannot be reserved.  Once a set is purchased, it will disappear from the page. If a set was already put in another persons cart, they will not be able to check out until they remove it.
