The Healdsburg Guitar Festival is proud to have Schenk Guitars sponsor and produce the 2007 Saturday Night Concert. Featuring Martin Young, Alan Thornhill, and Michael Chapdelaine, the choice of performers matches perfectly the festival's ten year tradition of promoting acoustic excellence.

Martin Young brings over 20 years of Nashville experience to the stage, 16 years of them playing, touring and recording for Country Mega Star, Clint Black. His playing style encompasses the best Nashville has to offer, including original fingertyle licks, Merle Travis Style Pick'n, and, of course, Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed influences. His natural charm, expericence, and stage energy gives the audience a night to remember.
Alan Thornhill, a winner of the prestigioius Tellluride Fingerstyle Guitar Championship, has long been recongnized as a brilliant player. His distinctive sound has been featured on numerous recordings - Kate Wolfe, Chris Hillman, Hoyt Axton, The Rincoon Ramblers, and more. While his melodic playing captivates audiences of all ages, from concert halls to festival stages, it is simply a stunning accompaniement to what is called by many "one of the most beautiful voices ever heard."
Michael Chapdelaine, one of the Healdsburg Guitar Festival's favorites, is a natural entertainer who happens to be a guitar virtuoso and winner of both the Guitar Foundation of America International Classical Guitar Competition and the National Fingerstyle Championship. He will be teaching a workshop on arranging pop songs and composing for fingerstyle guitar at this year's festival.
