Mohawk Finishing Products

Mohawk’s™ Classic Instrument Lacquer® is formulated to produce a superior finish on thin, flexible veneers such as those used on stringed musical instruments. Excellent flow, flexibility and durability are the characteristics that make this a quality product for stringed instrument applications. It is flexible, yet hard enough to yield a mirror-like reflectance. This product is supplied ready to spray.

Use Mohawk’s™ E-Z Vinyl® Sealer as a seal coat prior to applying their Classic Instrument Lacquer for a professional high gloss finish.

Mohawk’s™ Super Blush® product is a very slow tail end solvent for lacquer. It can be used in extremely high humidity areas to avoid blushing.

The Mohawk™ and Behlen™ brands are divisions of RPM Wood Finishings Group Inc. The Classic Instrument Lacquers produced by these divisions are identical.
