We have supplied these highly figured top plates to electric guitar manufacturers for a while now, so it seemed natural to offer them to our catalog customers. These plates are reddish-brown with flame or burl figuring. Each is unique. This material is softer than other top plate material and any swirling burl figure may need to be stabilized with epoxy or superglue to fill any small voids before finishing. A strong, hard finish is recommended rather than a simple oil application.
